CEO Brad Lawrence Shared Secrets to Esterline's Success at June Breakfast Meeting
 
PNAA's 2011 Executive of the Year Brad Lawrence revealed his secrets to Esterline's successful business model at a packed PNAA Breakfast Meeting on June 29.  According to Lawrence, Esterline is positioned to do $3 billion in annual sales by 2015.  He attributes his company's success to hiring and retaining great employees, unusually strong competency in acquisitions and a good balance of commercial and defense work.

While Lawrence is optimistic about Esterline's future, he noted his concerns about sequestration and the uncertainty it presents to aerospace and defense companies. If carried out, sequestration would mean $500 billion in defense cuts that, according to Lawrence, would result in over 1 million lost jobs industry wide.

In spite of this uncertainty, Lawrence was confident that Esterline's entrepreneurial spirit, cost controls, prudent risk taking, and dedicated team would continue to provide the strong, steep growth rates that appeal to its shareholders.
