On October 22nd, aerospace representatives from near and far came together to meet with their colleagues, share ideas and experiences, and exchange contact information. As always, Woodinville’s Redhook Brewery provided an enjoyable and relaxing venue in which to enjoy the evening.
There’s lots of pressure to be sustainable--to go green--from a number of fronts: government regulations, customer demand, and even social pressure. But business is tough right now, and costs need to be reduced. In the past, going green has been associated with additional cost and inefficiency.
What if there was a systematic process to move towards green sustainability that was rooted in Lean thinking? What if going green fueled your Lean journey towards world-class performance?
Carlos Venegas is the co-producer of the mini-documentary, Lean Ecology: the Perfect Pair. He is also the author of Flow in the Office: Implementing and Sustaining Lean Improvements, published by Productivity Press.
