June Breakfast Meeting
Presenters
Tony Marino is the project lead for the Americas representative to the IAQG sub team on the revision of AS9101 as well as an advisor to the Supplier Quality Executive Leadership team. His responsibilities include team leader for the Boeing Oversight Representatives, development and implementation of company and industry wide requirements and processes with respect to quality management systems for suppliers and business practices.

Alan Daniels works on the VP of Quality Staff, as the Process and Systems Integration Manager. His responsibilities include the development of strategies, coordination and deployment plans for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), as well as process standardization and integration on several levels for the Boeing Enterprise. He is the International Quality Standards Representative for BCA; is a member of IAQG and AAQG committee responsible for upgrading the AS9100 Rev B standard; leads the AAQG Requirements Strategy Team, which has overall responsibility for AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, AS9101, and AS9115 (in development) standards; and is a member of the ISO 9001 US TAG TC176 SC2.

Boeing's Tony Marino reviewed the proposed changes to the AS9101 standard and discussed how these changes will impact aerospace suppliers.  The AS9101 standard contains the set of requirements that define what must be done when a supplier quality management system certification audit is conducted.  The coordination draft reflects the agreement reached by the IAQG team at their meeting in April and has been prepared for wide distribution and review by all industry stakeholders.  Tony conducted the meeting with the intent of collecting recommendations from the audience.  These recommendations will be reviewed by the IAQG team in July as possible changes to the standard.

  • You've heard what to expect from the AS9100 changes, but what about the AS9101?
  • After hearing about the proposed changes, you will have an opportunity to submit your recommendations for the July review
