For the first session, a panel comprised of industry experts covered the registration audit approach defined in the new AS9101 Standard and how this will impact the registered companies. The second presentation reviewed the changes to the AS9100 Standard, explaining why the changes were made, and what these changes mean to registered companies.

The AAQG (Americas Aerospace Quality Group) meeting has come to Seattle this Fall.  While we are always excited for the opportunity to be the host city to such a meeting, this one was particularly exciting due to the important changes currently being made and proposed to the AS9100 and AS9101 Standards.

The meeting took place September 9-11 at Seattle’s Crowne Plaza (click here for general AAQG meeting details).  In taking full advantage of this opportunity to be involved with the process, PNAA coordinated a breakfast and two additional presentations to coincide with the meeting.  Breakfast and the back-to-back 2-hour presentations were held the morning of September 9th, prior to the start of the AAQG Meeting.

In addition to taking part in the these presentations, participants were be able to attend the AAQG general session and committee meetings and meet those involved in making decisions on the new and revised aerospace standards and practices.
