AS9100 Rev C Proposed Changes: An update from the recent AAQG Meeting PNAA Board Member, John Graham attended last month's meeting in San Antonio, TX, in which the latest revision of the AS9100 standard were further discussed. While the proposed revisions will not be drastic, some notable changes are likely: - the addition of a risk management process
- changes to supplier controls, including removal of the Test Report use and validation requirement
- the addition of a project management process
- on-time delivery addition as a quality conformance measurement
The next AAQG meeting will be in Seattle in September. PNAA is excited to welcome AAQG back to the Northwest. Stay tuned for news about opportunities for involvement in this upcoming meeting. PNAA's Tanker Survey: Assessing the impact of the U.S. Air Force's decision In response to the U.S. Government's recent decision to award the aerial tanker contract to Northrop Grumman/EADS instead of Boeing, the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance has reached out to our base to get an idea of the impact that this decision might have on Northwest Aerospace companies. Last month, we sent out a survey, asking for feedback from Northwest companies. The response gave us an interesting perspective on the impact of the U.S. Government's recent Tanker Decision. We received responses from over 60 different companies, and have posted detailed results (including comments) on our web site. If you haven't yet taken the survey, the opportunity is still available, as we will continue to update the results on our web site. And a big thank you to those of you who shared your projections and comments/concerns with us. Click here to view the results and comments on our web site Click here to take this survey
