PNAA to receive trade fair grant for Farnborough 2008 and Paris 2009 - Exciting opportunities available for Northwest Aerospace Companies

PNAA is excited to announce the receipt of a substantial grant through CTED's International Trade Fair program that will allow us to offer Northwest companies a chance to participate in two of the largest international air shows.  While details are still being worked out, we look forward to working with companies who would like to increase their exposure and expand their businesses overseas.

If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please email us to indicate your interest.  We will be sure to keep you up to date on our status.  We will also be posting information on our web site as we firm up the details.

AS9100's Industry Controlled Other Party (ICOP) Scheme needs improvement, according to recent article

This month's issue of Quality Digest features a very timely article by DNV's Sidney Vianna, in which he outlines the most pressing concerns with the current ICOP model.  Vianna points to shortfalls in some common practices of Certification Bodies (CBs) that could lead to a lessening of confidence by stakeholders and a crumbling of the ICOP System.

It is important for professionals at all levels of the industry to be aware of the current issues surrounding AS9100 certification and take an active role to improve the industry's performance.  For the last three years, the PNAA has been actively involved in helping companies understand the issues and get involved to address the concerns expressed in this article.  Click below to read Vianna's article in Quality Digest.  Once you have read the story, click here to contact John Graham (PNAA Board Member) to learn more about getting involved.
