PNAA taking full advantage of upcoming AAQG Meeting

The AAQG (Americas Aerospace Quality Group) meeting is coming to Seattle this Fall.  While we are always excited for the opportunity to be the host city to such a meeting, this one is particularly exciting due to the important changes currently being made and proposed to the AS9100 and AS9101 Standards.

The meeting will take place September 9-11 at Seattle’s Crowne Plaza.  In taking full advantage of this opportunity to be involved with the process, PNAA has coordinated a breakfast and two additional presentations to coincide with the meeting.  Breakfast and the back-to-back 2-hour presentations will be held the morning of September 9th, prior to the start of the AAQG Meeting.

The first presentation will be a panel discussion of the registration audit approach defined in the new AS9101 Standard and discuss how this will impact the registered companies.  The second presentation will review the changes to the AS9100 Standard, explain why the changes were made, and what these changes mean to registered companies.

In addition to taking part in these presentations, participants will be able to attend the AAQG general session and committee meetings and meet those involved in making decisions on the new and revised aerospace standards and practices.

PNAA’s presence at Farnborough well received

Two PNAA representatives manned our booth at July’s Farnborough 2008 in the UK.  PNAA Chair Kevin Steck and Vice Chair Bill King were on hand all week to promote PNAA and our Pacific Northwest constituency.  They passed out postcards and brochures and spoke with dozens of representatives from all over the world.  We were very pleased to be there, and are looking forward to Paris, 2009!

Thank yous to Washington State CTED for the grant that enabled us to attend this important event and to all PNAA Members that participated with your support.
