Snohomish County
Airport (Paine Field) is a unique airport. Paine Field serves as the principal
reliever- airport to SeaTac International and is home to over 600 general
aviation aircraft. Overall, the
airport’s aviation industry base provides over 30,000 jobs and accommodates
about 140,000 aircraft operations each year.
The Airport includes an industrial park and has parcels available for
development or build to suit. The
painefield.com website provides a wide range of additional information. The Airport is located in Everett, Washington
and is the home to the Boeing Company’s wide body assembly plant. Paine Field’s role as an industrial
aviation base began in 1966 when Boeing located its 747 assembly plant at the
Airport. Later Boeing expansions included the 767 and 777 assembly lines and
a four-fold increase in facility footprint. Aviation Technical Services, with
over 1500 employees, owns two large aircraft hangars and leases a third for
transport aircraft inspection and repair. Dozens of other aerospace
contractors have facilities on or near the Airport. The 2007 Boeing decision to build the 787
at Paine Field bolsters the economic vitality of Snohomish County. The Boeing Tour at Paine Field has long been a tourist draw.
The Airport itself has become an International Aviation Destination
because of: Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour; Flying
Heritage Collection (Paul Allen’s Warbird
Collection); Museum of Flight Restoration Center; Legend Flyers (ME 262); and
Historic Flight Foundation. Paine Field is the economic crown jewel of Snohomish County! The Airport is a key factor in the current
and future economic vitality of our region. Click on Paine Field’s logo to
