2017’s Annual Conference: The Competitive Edge

PNAA convened a dynamic gathering of decision makers and strategists from the world’s most influential aerospace companies – over 600 in attendance!

PNAA’s activity-infused conference brought together the world’s highest-level aerospace executives to sharpen their Competitive Edge. Presentations by OEMs, Tier 1s and globally respected aerospace analysts offered the latest intelligence, trends and analytics on production, product strategy and the market outlook. Panel discussions broadened the focus, showcasing some of the most thought-provoking discussions and insights from successful aerospace companies on staying competitive in the changing and challenging marketplace.

Attendees representing the value chain of the aerospace industry had the opportunity to conduct business on multiple levels over the course of the four days. The physical location of the conference in the hub of the Pacific NW aerospace cluster allowed easy access to the world’s top suppliers, while the well-crafted agenda facilitated the receipt of vital information and allowed for business interactions and networking before, during and after the conference.

The high-energy atmosphere of exclusive B2B meetings, technical sessions on emerging technologies, and a skilled workforce fair was utilized by attendees to round out their conference experience. For aerospace executives looking to maintain their Competitive Edge, it was an event not to be missed!

PNAA and 14 industry businesses contributed to the PNAA Scholarship Program this year.  Thanks to the generosity of Center of Excellence for Aerospace and Advanced Materials Manufacturing, GMN AerospaceSPEEAThe ASKO GroupPacific Northwest Law Group, LMI Aerospace, PNAA & Board of DIrectors, Moss Adams, LLPLocus AnalyticsAviation Partners BoeingInceptra,Orion Aerospace, ThyssenKrupp, and Umbra Group, 22 northwest students pursuing aerospace educations from 11 different colleges received awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,500.  

Workforce Development Sessions:

PNAA collaborated with 10 workforce partners to host two panels on Employment Outlook and Workforce Development Initiatives in the Pacific Northwest. The panels had over 30 attendees, including leaders in education, government, cluster development, and workforce training. In addition, 10 education partners from around the state exhibited at the Workforce Development Fair and were able to connect with suppliers and each other to enhance the workforce pipeline.

The Suppliers Fair – PNAA’s Annual B2B Event:

The B2B Suppliers Fair matched Suppliers with representatives of OEMs and select Tier I/II Suppliers in 7-minute one-on-one sessions.  These sessions were an opportunity for the supplier to discuss their products and services and get an understanding of the requirements for entering the representative’s supply chain.  This year 304 connections were made during the Suppliers Fair.
