FAA’s New Project Prioritization Process

Seattle ACO will be hosting a meeting on October 24, 2014 to introduce the FAA’s new Project Prioritization Process as well as to present an Introduction to Certification.

Project Prioritization marks a major milestone in response to recommendations from the Aircraft Certification Process Review and Reform Aviation Rulemaking Committee formed in accordance with Section 312 of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Modernization and Reform Act of 2012.  The new process is designed to reduce uncertainty and wait times for applicants and provide a more predictable certification and approval process.  The Project Prioritization briefing will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Additionally, in the afternoon, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Seattle ACO will provide a presentation for applicants who want to learn more about the Certification process. The presentation, Introduction to Certification, is designed for new and less-experienced applicants and explains how to navigate the application process.  However, anyone is welcome to attend.
